Prepare for Fishing Charters
We’re thrilled to have you on board for a memorable fishing adventure. To ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience, having the right items is essential. Here are the items you need to bring on your fishing trip to help you get prepared.
What to Bring to Your Fishing Trip
Fishing License
You need a day fishing license. If you plan on fishing more than 5 days throughout the year, consider getting a yearly license. The only special stamp/tag you might need is for sturgeons and crabs.
A crab validation is needed for crab fishing, and a sturgeon report card is required for sturgeon fishing. No other special permits or tags are required for salmon, halibut, stripers, lingcod, tuna, or rockfish.

Warm Clothes
We will be fishing in the bay, ocean, or both, and the offshore breeze can be chilly. It might be over 100 degrees at home in the summer, but it can be cold in the bay, so be prepared!
Waterproof Boots/Shoes
We recommend bringing waterproof boots/shoes, but they aren’t 100% necessary. Often times, we clean the deck with a deck hose, and we do our best to keep your feet dry but fail from time to time. Also, the deck can get slippery due to fish slime, so it’s nice to have good footwear. Please do not wear flip-flops or open-toed shoes.
Food, Drinks, and Snacks
We do not provide food or drinks on the boat, so please bring your own. A small cooler with your beverages and food for the day is recommended.
Sunscreen
Even though it might be overcast, the sun can still get you! Bring sunscreen to protect your skin.
Sunglasses
The glare off the water can be intense if the sun is out. Wear glasses to protect your eyes.
Cash
We promise that as a crew, we will do our best to provide you with the best service. Tips are greatly appreciated. We will also fillet or process your fish for you at the end of the day for a small fee so please come prepared!
Fish Cooler
Our goal is to send you home with as much fish as possible. We recommend bringing a bigger cooler for fish at the end of the day and leaving it in your car. We don’t have enough room on the boat for everyone’s giant fish cooler, so bring it, but leave it in your vehicle, please.
